Homeland - the Mediterranean countries. This genus includes only one species - short xamerops (Chamerops humilis). Its leaves are hard, dark blue, located on long thorny stalks, covered with easily shed gray hairs. Xamerops grow slowly and are not very demanding. Xamerops loves moderate temperatures, poor heat transfer in summer. It should be stored in a well-lit place away from direct sunlight. If it is located according to the size of the palm - it can be placed under the window, if not, it should be kept in a room, on a small table near the window.
